AROUND SAN FRAN:
A large 50 foot high cross in the middle of Golden Gate park. You have to hike up a forgotten path to find it, but its there. Perhaps a metaphor?

We also went for a walk to Lombard street. I swear the road was on a 45 degree angle.

My proof.

Lombard Street

Perhaps the second most photographed street in San Fran. Makes you hungry for Rice a Roni, huh?

City Lights bookstore, the largest independent bookstore in the city.

Us near Pier 39. It is famous for its seafood. So, we ate elsewhere...

Us at an Ethiopian restaurant in Japantown where they had a live jazz band. Makes sense...
ALCATRAZ:

We found a modest house to mov into on the island.

Our new bedroom

Approaching "the rock"

I can hear the corny Herbie music now as I look at Lombard street.
Did you think of Sean Connery while on the rock? Me doing my pathetic Sean Connery voice: "Welcome to the Rock"
Also NOTHING makes me hungry for Rice a Roni and....
Did you listen to any Journey while there? "When the lights go down in the city. And the sun shines on the bay...."
Tom Servo looking back in time at young Mike Nelson "Oh no Crow! He's a journey fan!"
Crow:"Quick! We need to help him!"
ummmm.... That is about all I know about San Fran.... soo.... cool!
Oh hey was that the park where Kirk and crew landed their cloaked klingon bird of prey while the searched for george and gracy the humped back whales they would take back to the 23rd century in an effort to repopulate the species?
For that matter did you stop to see the future sites of Starfleet Command and Starfleet Acadamy?
Heck of a thing when Spock died hu?
